DeVox will be undergoing a transformation this year (25-26). Like past years, DeVox will be a select group of 6-8th Grade singers. Instead of going all year round, DeVox will take place in Quarter 4.
DeVox will be undergoing a transformation this year (25-26). Like past years, DeVox will be a select group of 6-8th Grade singers. Instead of going all year round, DeVox will take place in Quarter 4.
Students do not have to do a formal audition if they meet all of the following

- Participate in any of the available WMS extracurricular ensembles or honor choirs during they school year
- Enrolled in choir (students only enrolled in band, or not signed up for music cannot participate)
- Academically Eligible - Passing Employability Skills grade during Quarter 3
AUDITION INFORMATION:
Participation and reliablity in Choir Extracurriculars will determine your ability to participate in this group. If you want to be a part of DeVox, but did not do any of the extracurriculars, Mr. Gorman will complete an screening during one of your regular lesson times in Q3. This will include a test of vocal range and an excerpt from any song.
Tentative Final Auditions will be held in mid to late February after all honor choirs are complete.
PLACEMENTS WILL BE POSTED OUTSIDE THE CHOIR ROOM PRIOR TO SPRING BREAK

The 2nd semester schedule of extracurricular opportunities - including DeVox - will be completed prior to Winter Break to give time to assess a practice schedule.
